Straight answers

Mobile stretch therapy in Brooklyn, in plain English

Everything most people ask before booking, answered in one place.

Do you really come to me?

Yes. Unlock U Stretch is fully mobile across Brooklyn and the nearby boroughs. Your therapist brings the table and everything else to your home, office, or gym.

How long is a session?

Your first visit is 60 minutes and includes the assessment plus hands-on stretching. Follow-up sessions run 30 or 60 minutes depending on how much of your body you want covered.

How much does it cost?

The first 60-minute session is $50 and includes your movement assessment, a hands-on stretch, and a take-home plan. Ongoing session pricing is shared at your first visit.

Do I need to be fit or flexible?

No. Most clients start out stiff. Every session is built around what your body can do today, whether you have not stretched in years or you train six days a week.

Is it the same as a massage?

No. Massage works on tissue while you lie still. Stretch therapy moves your joints through guided ranges with your therapist doing the work, which changes how you actually move.

What do I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, like gym or athleisure wear. Sessions are fully clothed, so there is nothing to change into and no oil or lotion involved.

The basics

What is stretch therapy?

Stretch therapy is hands-on bodywork that combines assisted stretching with soft tissue work to ease pain, improve posture, cut down on injuries, reduce soreness, and increase flexibility. A trained therapist moves you through the ranges instead of you straining to do it alone.

It works for the person who sits at a desk all day and for the athlete chasing a new PR — the difference is what we prioritise in your plan.

Watch: what a session actually feels like

Who it’s for

Built for everyday bodies and athletes

Same hands-on method, three very different goals. Pick the one that sounds like you.

Everyday & desk life

You sit all day and feel it

Tight hips, a cranky lower back, shoulders up by your ears, and a stretching routine you never actually do.

  • Undo hours of desk posture without joining a gym
  • Get out of bed without the morning stiffness
  • Breathe, sleep, and sit more comfortably
  • We come to your apartment or your office

Athletes & lifters

Your mobility is capping your progress

You train hard, but restricted range is costing you depth, power, and clean reps — and the tweaks keep coming back.

  • Open up the range you need to squat, press, and run properly
  • Fewer recurring tweaks from compensating
  • Faster turnaround between hard sessions
  • Sessions at your gym, before or after training

Active 50+ & comeback

You want to stay strong and independent

You are not trying to win anything. You want to keep moving well, stay out of pain, and work around what your body has been through.

  • Joint-friendly and fully clothed — no awkward positions
  • Built around old injuries and surgeries
  • Better balance, posture, and confidence on stairs
  • No travel required — we come to you

Why stretch therapy

Why choose assisted stretching?

Six reasons clients keep it in their week, whether they lift heavy or sit at a laptop.

Someone else does the work

Relaxing, guided movements take you further than you can reach on your own — and you do not have to remember a routine.

Fully clothed & comfortable

No painful movements, no awkward positions, no oils. Just comfortable clothes and a table we bring.

Joint-friendly

Sessions are tailored to back, hip, shoulder, or knee complaints — or simply to better posture.

Starts at your level

Stiff for a decade or a competitive athlete, the plan is built from your assessment, not a template.

Whole-body approach

We work with your muscular, cardiovascular, nervous, and fascial systems — not just the tight muscle.

Zero commute

Because we travel to you, recovery stops competing with your calendar. That is usually the difference between doing it and skipping it.

The problem

What’s actually holding you back

Stretch therapy targets the things that quietly limit how you move and train.

Everyday

Desk stiffness and posture

Hours of sitting shorten your hips and round your shoulders. Guided stretching resets the positions your body defaults to.

Everyday

Nagging back, hip, or shoulder aches

Most everyday aches trace back to restriction and imbalance, not weakness. We address the restriction first.

Everyday

No time to get to a studio

Another commute is the reason recovery never happens. Removing the travel removes the excuse.

Athletes

Hitting training plateaus

Limited mobility prevents progressive overload. Unlocking range enables new strength gains.

Athletes

Recurring injuries from training

Tight muscles and poor mobility lead to compensations. We restore alignment and resilience.

Athletes

Slow recovery between sessions

Muscle tension delays recovery. Therapeutic stretching accelerates restoration and adaptation.

The process

How it works

Three steps from first message to feeling different.

01

Book your $50 session

Pick a time on the calendar and tell us where you are. No wait lists, no membership.

02

Movement assessment

Your therapist runs a full movement screen and history review to find what is restricted and why.

03

Feel the difference

You get a hands-on therapeutic stretch and leave with a personalised protocol for your body.

The payoff

What clients actually notice

Everyday movement gets easier

Stairs, shoes, car seats, picking things up off the floor.

Less day-to-day pain

Imbalances get corrected before they become painful problems.

More range of motion

Move through full ranges with power and control.

Faster recovery

Reduce soreness and prepare your body for the next session.

Better form and technique

Better mobility means better movement quality in every lift.

Breaking through plateaus

Unlock new mobility to achieve progressive overload and new PRs.

Real results, real people

Client success stories

Post-surgery mobility, chronic back and sciatica pain, decades of daily anti-inflammatories, athletes chasing a PR — same method, different goals.

★★★★★

Reasonable price“I was very stiff still following a hip replacement in 2023. PT had helped but I still wasn’t happy with my mobility level. I did a year of once a week of stretch therapy. I was stretched far more than I would have stretched myself even in PT. I am very happy with my new mobility due to stretching.”

“I had a good experience, it really helped with my back and with my sciatica pain. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. They listen to you and target the areas you say need the most attention too! This is the place to be!”

“I enjoy the weekly stretch, as a result I have not taken any anti-inflammatory medications, which I had taken daily for approximately 30 years.”

Frequently asked questions

What happens during the first session?

Your 60-minute first session includes a full movement assessment, a health and training history review, a hands-on therapeutic stretch, and personalised recommendations you can keep using between visits.

Where in Brooklyn do you travel?

We serve Brooklyn and the surrounding boroughs of New York City. Sessions happen at your home, your office, or your gym — whichever is easiest for you.

Do I need any equipment or space?

No. We bring the table and everything else. You only need a clear area roughly the size of a yoga mat.

Is stretch therapy painful?

No. There are no painful movements and no awkward positions. Sessions are fully clothed and stay within a range that feels productive rather than forced.

What if I have injuries or limitations?

We work with all fitness levels and injury histories. Safety comes first, and every session is adapted around what your body can do that day.

How soon will I see results?

Most clients feel a difference after the first session — more range of motion, less tension, easier movement. Lasting change typically builds over four to six weeks of consistent sessions.

Can I combine it with my training program?

Absolutely. Stretch therapy works alongside any program by improving mobility, speeding recovery, and reducing injury risk. Many clients book right before or after training.

How often should I book?

It depends on your goal. People managing desk stiffness often start every other week, while athletes in heavy training blocks usually go weekly. We recommend a cadence after your assessment.
